VPN Question

I am in the U.S.

I know we have some people on the site who use VPN's to access various sites that they regionally wouldn't have access to.

The firewall at work prevents me from accessing youtube, however I feel it can be a valuable educational tool, some great documentaries etc on there.

Now is there a VPN or some other service out there that can help me bypass the firewall?

Thanks a lot for your help.

$4.99 a month but it says that it should get around all blocks put up at your office or school..I use it to get US Netflix and it works great.

I use this as well, but I doubt it would work to get you around a firewall. unblock-us simply provides DNS from an alternate location.  A site blocking program or network appliance won't be bypassed by it.  Neither would a firewall, but they normally work on ports and not really specific site addresses although it's the same basic concept.

My suggestion would be to use your cell phone as a portable wifi hotspot and connect to it from your laptop computer.

Yeah, I agree and think the same thing though their website says that it will work.
