The Wild are liable to be tired after playing in Buffalo tonight.

The Leaf should definitely have a good chance of winning, especially if it's Minnesota's backup playing in net.

My thinking exactly.  Leafs should be well-rested.  Let's hope they can take advantage of the situation.

Just checked Minny's stats and found that Matt Cooke is actually leading their team in scoring with 6 points in 5 games. Pretty sure he won't keep up a 37.5% shooting percentage for much longer though. Dany "All-Star" Heatley has just 1 point in 6 games. I'll probably start adding current season stats to the GDTs in the next one. Maybe.

I watched quite a bit of their game last night and the Leafs will have their hands full tonight. They are a big team for the most part and fast on the transition.

I think their defense is a bit suspect, but they are also well coached, so I wouldn't take them lightly.

It is an opening with them playing their 3rd stringer in nets. If the Leafs play well defensively, it should be a win for us. If they don't, it could be a long night.

Maybe he'll demand a trade back to the Sens.  He's only making 7.5 million too.  :P

I really hope when his contract expires he signs a league min deal in Edmonton.

Their defense may not be deep but their top pairing is probably one of the very best in the league right now.

Sounds like JvR might be a game time decision. Missed practice yesterday, arrived late for the skate this morning and left early. Seems like he might be battling the flu or something, but nothing official there.

Trevor Smith has been called up from the Marlies.

They are allowing the least number of shots per game in the league.

Suspect on paper, depth, experience and such, not suspect by their current play. They were out shot last night, not by much, but that is the only game I've watched by them this season. It's working for them at the moment, but I'm sure playing Suter almost 30 minutes a night helps.

Like I said, they are well coached, so I would expect strong play on both sides of the puck.

Yeah. I saw that, too. Probably in case JvR can't go.

Also, this:

jonasTSN1050: Randy Carlyle says van Riemsdyk is a "question mark" to play tonight.

Potvin29 said:
I admit to being a tad biased, but I would keep Broll up if possible when others return from injury.

I think we both know that's not going to happen but it's pretty funny Carlyle will play Broll more than Orr right now but when we get bodies back it will be Broll who inevitably loses his spot while Orr stays.

Also, the fact that Bodie is still sitting instead of either Orr or Ashton is crazy.
