One would hope the Leafs show up for this game considering it is the precursor for the big event on January 1st.

No James Reimer at optional Leafs morning skate. Appears he'll make third straight start against Detroit tonight.

it seems we will see Reims vs. Jonas "the Monster" Gustavsson

Is it just me, or are there a lot of injuries around the league this year?  I'm always a little surprised when the Leafs meet a team with significantly more guys in the IR.

I have a pair of tickets for tonight's game I'm looking to sell.. will sell for face value ($95 each) to anyone on here who wants them.  I can email you the tickets.

PM me if interested.

I think we are actually middle of the pack when it comes to man-games lost?  But the more siginicant stat is probably salary lost.  Those are some top guys out of Detroit's lineup.

I think the Leafs are roughly middle of the pack in terms of salary lost to injury, as well.

Fans that we are, I guess we tend to exaggerate our own misfortune.  But that's OK.  I've always considered this board a Safe Space for nonrational thought.

That is an interesting stat that I haven't heard before. You would assume that the amount of salary lost would approximately equal the amount of talent missing from the line up but that is not always the case.

Not sure if you got my PM, I'm interested if they are still available.

It is sad that I can't really decide if I want them to win.  I'm sort of wondering if tanking is the best for the long term: get Randy fired and may be even be more of a seller than a buyer at the deadline.

No trouble here. Win!
