Noticed this after I posted:

#Leafs have recalled forward Jerry D'Amigo from the #Marlies

Personally I think Holland or Ashton are more needed, but anything to get Orr out of the line-up is ok with me.

Also looks like Bernier will start again. Reimer is skating at the optional practice which typically indicates he's not playing.

I never root for a loss but if they do lose I hope the crowd has enough piss & vinegar in them to get a good randeeeeeee chant going.

I'm sure it's happened, but I really don't recall an 8 game losing streak over the last 15 years or so...

I think they'll win tonight, just to keep their faint hopes alive, and to keep us fans believing that they actually still have a chance.

I'm starting to think its probably better that they lose as many as possible from here on out. A high draft pick might take a little of the sting out of this disastrous season ending fall from a solid playoff position. ::)

There's been a few times where they lost 8 in a row that included an OT/SO loss (January '06, October '09, March '88 and a 10 game winless streak in Feb/March 96 that included 8 games without a point because there were no OT loss points) and there were some long winless streaks in between, but, the last time they lost 8 in a row in regulation was October/November 1985.

Fortunately or unfortunately, it doesn't really matter. The Leafs are too far ahead of the bottom pack to get one of the top tier picks.  They are probably stuck in the 10-14 range -- typically a place where the probability of getting a first-line player has dropped way, way, way down.

So there you go - then I've never witnessed an 8 game losing streak. There's almost nothing I like about this team.

When I watched their game against Montreal the other day, Detroit's kid line of Tatar-Sheahan-Jurco was fantastic. And Nyquist is obviously smoking hot right now. Those are the guys to keep an eye on.

Four game home stand starting today.

I don't know the point of cheering them on unless we finish 7th. Don't want to see Boston embarrass us.

I'm heading to the game tonight. Thinking about bringing some brown paper bag masks. We'll see how it goes.

Brown paper bags also make excellent vomit receptacles.

I'm rooting for a loss.  I don't care - this team needs serious changes and the more they lose, the more likely changes will happen.
