Game Notes
UTA
-Karel Vejmelka (17-16-5, 2.48 GAA, .910 Sv%) will likely start for the Hockey Club
-Utah currently finds themselves in a very difficult playoff race. 4 teams are currently battling for the final wild card spot in the West and Utah is 4 points behind the Flames who currently hold that spot and 3 points behind Vancouver and St. Louis
TOR
-Joseph Woll (21-12-0, 2.78 GAA, .905 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
-The Leafs will likely continue to be without defenceman Chris Tanev. He and Jarnkrok both stayed out late after practice on Sunday and Berube said he's still "not where he wants to be" in regards with his injury

The problem with Robertson is...who are you taking out of the lineup for him. Jarnkrok is clearly still working up to game speed so I expect he'll sit the odd day.

He's competing with McMann, Holmberg, Lorentz and Jarnkrok.

McMann has been very mediocre the last couple of weeks but his speed/size/defense are attractive and when he gets hot he's a guy who can drive the net. Holmberg has warts but Berube clearly loves him. Lorentz is the utility forward that does 4th line stuff.

Domi won't be scratched at this point because the team needs to find a way to get him going. Kampf does the penalty kill and is a centre. So its' going to happen. I honestly think McMann should sit a game or two and get his head on straight but you want him in the lineup come the postseason.

This is a crowded lineup for Nick right now. He doesn't deserve to be benched though

I won't get too worked up about it right now, especially if it becomes clear there's a bit of a rotation going on, but the closer we get to the end of the regular season if Holmberg is still playing in a top-9 role somewhere it'll make me really, really hope Pacioretty is only out until playoffs start.

I feel a little for McMann as he's been bounced around the lines somewhat more than I'd expect for a 20+ goal guy.

There was a time not long ago that I was more optimistic about Holmberg's ability and potential. This season drained a lot of that optimism. I thought Pacioretty got off to a fair start and then tailed off. Hopefully, it is an injury that can heal.

I thought Patches would do better then he has. Father time does catch up to everyone tho. I wouldn't mind him running around on the 3rd/4th line banging people. Hopefully he can pop a few goals too.

Patches seems like a guy who ran out of gas. I'm not sure that sitting for 3 months before the playoffs is going to make him useful but I think he's probably in "stay under the cap" vacation now where he probably doesn't play again this year unless we get an injury. If the team goes on a deep run I expect we will get a motivated effort game.

His skating speed on NHL edge was above average for forwards.
I saw his interview after he got hurt in February. He didn't seem too bad.
I suspect it is a cap move.
He can do some conditioning with the Marlies.

Do we have enough time to transplant Holmberg’s legs and back onto Pacioretty
