Day one of the season lines in my opinion. It's ridiclous we never spread out the core ever in the history of their existence.
 
So Robertson gets an apple in GM1 against the sens. Makes a great backcheck in GM2 that forced the turnover for Domi's OT winner, gets scratched until GM5 of the 2nd round and was the only guy to score last game and now again is getting scratched?
Well I guess you gotta blame someone....smh.

No kidding, Robertson earned the right to play tonight, starching him is beyond stupid.

McMann, Jarnkrok, Holmberg has worked? The team won despite their lack of contributions. And this notion that 89's somehow the weakest link defensively is ridiculous. They could use his hustle and back check and his goal scoring ability.

I shaved during game three vs Florida.... My face and neck were so itchy, I couldn't take it any more..... There's no way it's my fault, right? Right?

I am considering wearing my old Florida, 3rd Jersey from like 20 years ago...... (but I wore it game 5 in 2023 playoffs to try and give the Leafs luck and it didn't work.)
 
So the team can't score and Berube's solution is to bring back the guy who zero goals and scratch the guy who scored (albeit a meaningless goal)

I hope the game is tolerable to watch. The Panthers are good. They are allowed to lose to a good team but show some fing pride on the ice

Not only did Robertson score...but he did it from a proximity to the crease that just about every forward on the team has shown an aversion to enter - and he paid the price with complete dirty headhunting punishment from Ekblad. After he made a finesse play.

Its not just that he was able to score but he displayed GRIT and SKILL on the goal, and paid the price for the team that showed up as a bunch of shook chickens.

He deserves to play.
 
Maurice made line adjustments when Leafs were outplaying the Panthers and they worked.

Wouldnt a very simple adjustment be to move Willy to L1 and play with 23 (with 34 in the middle)? So we at least have one line that can score during this two game drought.

Drop Marner to L2.

This is the least amount of tinkering while putting together the top two producers on the forward core of 23 and 88.



Oh I forgot there is some rule somewhere that you cannot separate 16 and 34. Its symbolic of whats wrong with this team under Shanahan.

Can't wait to see that obliterated.
