Game Notes |
| WPG -Eric Comrie will likely start for the Jets, as Hellebuyck started in Winnipeg's 2-1 loss to Detroit yesterday -Winnipeg starts the year 2026 sitting dead last in the league in points. A catastrophic fall from their 116-point Presidents Trophy winning season in 24/25 -Jonathan Toews' comeback season after missing 2 years hasn't exactly been the success him or Winnipeg were hoping for. He has 3 goals and 11 points in 38 games while being outscored 9-20 at 5-on-5. He sits 4th among Jets forwards in average 5-on-5 ice time, which is probably much more than the 37-year old should be playing right now |
| TOR -Dennis Hildeby will likely start for the Leafs. At least that's my guess as Toronto seems to not want to overplay Woll and this is a game against the worst team in the league on the 2nd half of a back to back with their back-up goalie in net as well. That would then set-up Woll to play the next two games against stronger conference rivals in the Islanders and Panthers -All eyes will be on the morning skate to see if either Matthews or Nylander will be available for the Leafs in this game |
