ESPN Report: Darnell Nurse gives Oilers short list of trade options

From what I have read, Bowman asked him to lift his NMC last year.
He declined
Next year, his deal shifts to a 10 team no trade list so this is the last year he has much control over his destiny

Saw a report that said the Pens & the Kings are on his acceptable destinations
Don't know how accurate that would be
At the right money I would take him. He just makes way too much for what he brings

I think so too.
The UFA market again is not great. There are maybe a few more 'attractive' top 4 dmen proportionately compared with the forwards.
In this market with seemingly lots of cap space, it will be interesting to see how much the Oilers have to eat to move him.

A year from now, although lower priced, Morgan Rielly may be facing a similar situation in terms of controlling where he will play as he too drops to a 10 team no trade clause. I prefer Rielly over Nurse.

So playing around, lets say they move him at $6 mil and eat $3.25
Then they sign the equivalent of Raddysh/Andersson at $8 mil/yr so that costs 11.25 in total cap space
For that to be worth their while, they would have to get something of value back in that trade.

It is probably going to be a tough one to really win.
