1 NY Rangers vs 8 Ottawa Senators

Really wish we would have won yesterday.

I was hoping to be able to watch the Boston - Washington game tonight, and cheer for the Caps, since I really don't want to face the Bruins.

Now I feel like if Washington wins, so will New York.

i'm sure in actual fact one has nothing to do with the other  ..i actually think it's more likely that boston will beat washington then the rangers will beat ottawa ...but that of course is just a feeling

I know it's absurd, and if I had to wager my life on it, I'd probably go with New York and Boston.  When you're going home to a game 7 after winning game 6, all the momentum is on the home team's side.  It also helps that it's the top 2 seeds against the bottom 2 seeds.

I'm not superstitious in anything but hockey.  But if Washington wins tomorrow, and I cheer at all, I feel like the hockey Gods will slap me down.

On second thought, screw it.  I'm guaranteeing a win tomorrow night (make your jokes, busta, LHF and Nik (not you, Potvin)).  I'll stake my reputation on it, and you can take that to the bank.

Can't wait to beat the Panthers in the second round.  Sorry Nashville, this year's not your year.

The Sens have been playing above their heads, coming from behind and beating the odds all year.   The Rangers are very beatable, the Sens have done it six times already this season, they just need to do it one more time.

I thought so, too.  Even if Ottawa loses this series, they will have earned some respect for the very fact that the plucky Sens never-say-die-attitude has served them well, especially in some of their come-from-behind games so far here against the highly-touted Rangers.  The Sens have stood their ground admirably.

Canada's last playoff team?? The club that has Zenon Konopka?? Oh yeah!! Got to cheer for Ottawa in this series. Go Zenators!

Some weirdness going on in practice this morning.

Silfverberg is practising with Butler and Michalek (because Spezza is doing an interview or something).  Mark Stone is also practising on the 4th line.  Konopka and Carkner aren't on the ice.

I'm thinking that's just Paul MacLean being Paul MacLean.  No way do both Carkner and Konopka come out in favour of rookies.  But who knows, we could be seeing Silfverberg, Stone and Borowiecki in the lineup tonight.

Oh man - I'm a nervous wreck...even more so after the Bs got bounced last night.

I feel strangely calm and confident.  I'm sure my heart will start skipping beats as we get closer to puck drop, but for now, I'm just looking forward to the game.

Did I miss what happened to Konopka?  Speculation is that he's hurt and may not be ready tonight, as he didn't practice yesterday either.

He did look to be labouring a little in the third, but unless it was the hit from behind in the first, that didn't really look that bad, I don't know what did it.

I guess Leaf fans can relate to watching a hockey game with a puke bucket next to them as well?

<forgive me Hockey Gods>

He's hurt - not sure what the injury is but he's hurt. Boro-cop was recalled yesterday
