I think I'm gonna have to buy me one of them Winter Classic jerseys. They're awesome.

I love the older style logo/jersey.  I really wish the Leafs would return to an older design of the Leaf for their main jersey, abandon the current Leafs logo they started in the 70s.  The logo from the mid 60s would be my choice.

I'm actually looking forward to this game, even though it'll probably be really bad hockey due to crappy conditions like past winter classic games.

Anyone bought tickets for this event yet? Do you think it will be a hard ticket to get. I been on a info list and received an email:

Congratulations, My Name!

Your name was selected in the contest draw and you have been awarded the opportunity to purchase up to four (4) 2013 SiriusXM Hockeytown Winter Festival? and
2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic? ticket packages.

I just went to ticket master site and you can buy single game tickets there?

I think I may have actually lucked out here... anything online is resale prices... it looks like I will have the opportunity to buy at retail! Hell Yeah!

Well you should probably of bought... the cheapest ticket I can find online is $240ish and the most expensive is $1,700 and retail is only $279 for the most expensive seat.

I got that e-mail on 4 separate occasions last year.

Bought my tickets today! It cost me $768: $149/ticket for the winter classic, $28/ticket for the AHL game (they make you buy them) and a $60 service charge. Pumped I got the opportunity to buy tickets at retail prices. Split 4 ways that's $192/person + hotel + food + beer +++++..... anyways happy that I'm going and not at $1,000+ per person.

Anyone else going? How were you able to get tickets?

I'm trying to get more without paying ridiculously inflated resale prices.

Where did you get them from? Ticketmaster cheapest ones are $372.

I had signed up to be enter into a draw that if won I was eligible to buy 4 tickets at retail prices (ticket master) and I won (refer to a few postings back). The ticketmaster prices you see are people who are reselling tickets, not retail prices.

Just got selected to have the opportunity to buy the 4 ticket package today (guess not all 5,000 people took advantage of the first one).

Wondering if I should take advantage of the opportunity and resell.....

Don't think I'll be able to make it, as I'm in rehearsals in Toronto in that period, and likely won't be given any time off to go to a hockey game in the U.S.

I'd resell.

Had tickets to the awful 5-0 shellacking Mats Sundin game and couldn't go last minute. Sold my pair of tickets for a $325 profit.

Not cool.

Is it really any worse than watching tv episodes or movies on various websites or sharing music with others if you haven't paid etc.?

I mean if one buys tickets (or any asset for that matter) that are very in demand and all the players, employees at the stadium, those on the tv broadcast etc. are already getting paid then I fail to see who's losing out? God knows I've paid over asking to see Leaf games in the past from scalpers.....
