2016-17 Minor Trades Thread

Ron Hainsey's averaged between 21:05-22:53 per game in 10 of his last 11 seasons. And in 10 of those he basically played in every single game. That's pretty remarkable consistency from a guy you don't often hear from.

He holds the longest streak of games played without taking part in the playoffs.

Enjoys his long summers.

Also it looks like the Senators have decided they're too likable and are adding Alex Burrows.

Going the other way is prospect Jonathan Dahlen, who some people are apparently pretty high on.

TSNBobMcKenzie: Per @Real_ESPNLeBrun, CHI trades Mark McNeill and conditional fourth round pick for Oduya.

TSNBobMcKenzie: If CHI wins two rounds and Oduya plays in 50 per cent or more of CHI games, fourth-round pick becomes a third-round pick to DAL.

Montreal gets Ott from Detroit for a 6th round pick.

SJ picked up Hansen from Van for Goldobin and a conditional 4th.

Benning demonstrating surprising competence.

Yea, not bad for Vancouver. And that 4th becomes a 1st if SJ wins the Cup. Obviously not likely but, hey, Donald Trump is an elected American President!

Dwight King to the Habs for a conditional 4th in 2018. Habs loading up on grinders.

Looks like the Kings moved King to make space for Iginla

Unless the Kings pick up a goal scorer that can still skate, I'm not sure they make it into the playoffs, let alone win a series.

So, you're not a fan of the Iginla deal then? ;)

Dreger says it's for a conditional pick.

It's not that long ago that Vanek and Iginla being moved on deadline day would have been huge news. Today, they're just run-of-the-mill trades.

Just going to enjoy their descent into mediocrity. They're painted into a corner and don't have the pieces or flexibility to capitalize on the availability of better Avs like Duchene or Landeskog.

Edit: Oh hey,
