Honestly, re-signing one of Gasol or Ibaka probably makes all the difference.

I think that's a an exaggeration either way but definitely with regards to Gasol. He looks to be clearly on the downswing. Signing Ibaka would have helped but you'd still have had the covid problems and the injuries that knocked the Raptors out of what looked like a pretty safe playoff spot.

The Raptors got fined for "tanking" last week when they rested half the team...in a game they still won.  They are now on a 4-game winning streak.  13 games left in the season and they are a half-game out of the play-in bubble.  They aren't doing a very good job of tanking for a draft pick.

He's done a lot as an ambassador to the team but at the same time I'm not sure that I really want to see fans in the Hall of Fame.  It's basically just going to be an award for people who have the money to do big gestures and I think that's fine for teams to celebrate but I'm not sure that the Hall of Fame needs to be doing this.

I'll put you down as a 'nay' on the Steve Dangle wing of the Hockey Hall of Fame.

For what it's worth I don't think he's really a member of the Hall of Fame. I know news stories are using the word "inducted" but he wasn't announced as a member of the HOF class and I think it's more just an exhibit in the museum.
