2022/2023 General NBA Thread

There's no 2023-24 Raptors thread...but could someone tell me how I'm supposed to feel about the Anunoby trade?

I think on the face of it, it isn't great but when you consider OG is a pending Free agent who was probably not going to re-sign that makes it better. RJ will be fun to watch and Quickley is the better piece coming back, imo.

It's a downgrade defensively but the team was just so poorly constructed that a change isn't a bad thing.  It's pretty clear that Masai/Webster/MLSE aren't willing to entertain a harder rebuild but expecting players for FRP trades isn't what we are going to see.

I still think they end up trading Siakam

Alright gentlemen...how do we feel about today's moves?

I'm trying to understand what they're doing here by sending a pick for Olynyk.

I think the bigger aspect of the trade was Agbaji.  He was a 2022 first round pick and is another athletic African player with ties to Masai.  They gave up a very late first in a mediocre draft when they already have another late first.

I'm disappointed they didn't trade Brown or Boucher to add some assets but I don't dislike this trade.  They needed a stretch big and at 33 he's an ok veteran if he stays
