Oh. Yeah, that could work.
Your right, Schneider made a huge gaffe not letting Gausman finish that inning, the last couple of batters he faced he was still pitching well. I blame him for this massive loss.Bender said:LittleHockeyFan said:this game, and their season, ended with the Bichette/Springer collision. It was like the wind let out of their sails at that moment.
It was done when they took Gausman out.

Ultimately the frustrating thing for me is that this isn't the first time that Bo has barrelled head on through a play. That was Springer's ball. Whether he gets to the ball if he doesn't have Bo coming down on him, I'm not sure but I'm really done with the Bo Bichette as shortstop experiment.
L K said:Dead last in Defensive runs saved for qualified shortstops (-16). Third last in all of MLB if you include all players who played at least 10 innings of SS.
Dead last in UZR for both qualified and all shortstops.
Tied for 2nd last in Outs Above Average
2nd in overall errors at the position. First in fielding errors, 2nd in throwing errors.
He's a phenomenal offensive talent but Bo is a terrible shortstop.
L K said:In 2021 he was the second worst qualified shortstop at -14 defensive runs saves. He was last in UZR at -20.6
In 2020 he was marginally better with +2 DRS with a -5.2 UZR
He shows flashes of being a good fielder because he's athletic and I do understand that defensive metrics aren't perfect but I don't think he has ever been a good defensive player

I'm a little surprised.
Nik said:I'm not. He had a pretty flawed team playing at a 100 win pace. Not bringing him back on the basis of really just one bad playoff game would be a pretty questionable decision and pretty out of step with how the current management group tends to do things.
