Well, I started the 2025 season thread on the back of some signings and rumours in early December, so, probably time to do the same for 2026…

Cease and Pince already signed. Bieber taking up his option, and a pretty decent looking start to building out the rotation.

Rumours, seemingly confirmed, that Tucker was invited to tour the Jays spring training facility also so it would seem they’re at least kicking tyres there. And suggests even if they don’t get him they’re willing to spend more.

If they managed to ink Tucker and Bichette that would be certainly something.

It’s important to build from a position of strength and not often you can build from being the strongest team in the AL..

Will be interesting to see what other moves do occur.

Yariel Rodriguez sure has fallen out of favour. Removed from 40 man roster today.

I'm assuming it had more to do with the Rule 5 draft then an explosive rash of signings but it's interesting that we DFA a guy who had a solid year (ERA around 3 with a 1.15 WHIP). He had a 139 ERA+ last year.

I'd say it was an odd move but it panned out. Rodriguez stays in the organization and the Jays freed up a roster spot. He Yariel did have an ok yeah but trailed off at the end. I'm sure he'll be on the roster come spring.
