Former Leaf and holder of one the best hockey names in history is set to be a contestant on the upcoming season of The Amazing Race. He'll be competing with his brother Anthony who plays for the Huntsville (Ala.) Havoc of the SPHL. Bates last played for the Rochester Americans, the Tulsa Oilers of the Central Hockey League, and in the German Division II league all in the 10/11 season.

Not surprised, him and his brother dominated quite a few legs of the race (my wife and I watch all the time)
