Blue Jackets @ Leafs - Jan. 9th, 7:30pm - TSN, TSN 1050

Good game. Most everyone looked good. Franson had a couple bad plays and there were a couple stretches where CBJ had extended possession but all in all a solid game.

A complete game by the team. (About effin time)
I missed the first goal.

Kessel seemed to have some wheels tonight.

I hope this is a sign for the future. shot 32-20 for us. Analytic's must be nice for us.

I miss the days when there was no telling which Leafs team would show up: Jekyll or Hyde.  Pretty sure we have yet another date with Hyde tonight.

Well hello, Dr Jekyll. Boy am I glad to see you!

Columbus is a very beatable team. With a little luck they should win this one.

Of course, the only 'luck' they've had lately has been bad, so...

Very beatable? Aren't they on something like a 14-2 run? Foligno at a ppg? Bobrovsky playing lights out? Yeah this should be a cakewalk.

12-2-1, 8 ROW

They're still playing well.

Sure over those last 15 games they weren't very beatable, but NOW they are!

Was it the 'very' beatable part? Too strong on the verbage?  ;)

Sadly missed this game, which turned out to be a win by playing the right way. Now to dissect the highlights to see how Horachek was able to activate the talent and motivation to play properly. I suspect it has something to do with, I don't know, teaching the players what to do and how to do it...

The Leafs have outshot their opponents 65-46 in the two games post-Carlyle.  3.1 more shots/game and 10 fewer shots against per game.  Small sample size and everything but I saw a different defensive approach to the game, especially tonight against Columbus.  The Leafs aren't collapsing the center of the ice anymore.
