Finally, a mercy pull for Reimer. If you try that after the 3rd goal, maybe that would have helped, Randy.

Exactly or at least a timeout back in the first or second period and reem these guys out. Did he even do that?

Hmmm ... this is beginning to sound eerily like the posts toward the end of Wilson.
Except Carlyle isn't going anywhere...

That is true.  Nobody's getting fired when the team is 14-8, all our discontent notwithstanding.

Devils fired Claude Julien 3 games before the playoffs with a 47-24-8 record.

Nobody's getting, not nobody's gotten.

What an inexcusable effort that was.  3 of their best out, end of a road trip, and less skill.

easiest shutout ever.

pity the fools who forked over upwards of $300 a seat to watch this effort.

Feel sorry for anyone who had to pay for that s**t. I can hear Carlyle's press conference. Ya they had the jump, we were flat and ya you can blame the coaches for that. Blah, blah blah same bs.

If anyone makes MotM and HM nominations tonight, I will hunt you down??.

what a terrible 'effort'

MOM - The ice...it successful did not melt into a puddle...unlike the Leafs defensive effort
HM - The boards...they made a better case for being on the ice than anyone else wearing blue and white...also probably provided better offensive opportunities

If this was against a team with more firepower, it would have been 6-0 after the 1st period. Just an absurdly pathetic "effort."

MotM and HM go to those of us who managed to watch the entirety of this travesty.

How they turned a fast, up-tempo team into the one we've seen this season is beyond me.  Finally get the goaltending and now we have a sludge hockey team.

I'm not sure but I believe we had more give aways than we had shots. poor poor effort if any at all. When the youngest player on the ice was the better of the leafs :-/

Letting a team come into your own barn and do that speaks to some serious character flaws imo, nobody even showed any emotion till it was well and truly over.

Well, this is where Nonis gets his share, isn't it?  He made the strategic decision to slow the pace down with Bolland and Clarkson, and let Grabs and Komarov go.  Last summer, several people expressed concern about team speed going down.

I honestly don't believe that this team has any speed anymore.

This team, with this coach will never have any real success, it's fine if the other team has more talent, but when you are out worked in 90% of games, you will never have success, that's a major character flaw.

Which is odd, because I thought, even if they lost speed up front with Grabo, MacA, and Komarov leaving, they were adding a full season of Gardiner, Rielly, and Ranger. I was expecting improved breakouts.
