Game Notes

BOS
?Rask (12-8-2, 2.43 GAA, .920 Sv%) will likely start for the Bruins
?Oh look, the Bruins are mostly healthy now. Great
?Pastrnak is pointless in 3 games so we all know what that means
?Boston trails Toronto for 2nd place in the Atlantic by 4 points, and the Leafs have a game in hand
?The Bruins just had a 5 game winning streak halted by the Capitals on Thursday

TOR
?Hutchinson (3-3-2, 3.29 GAA, .886 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
?Starting goalie hasn't been decided yet though. Babcock said Friday that he'll need to check with the medical staff about Andersen. Earlier in the week Freddy said that he was hoping to return for this game, but Babs felt Monday was a more realistic target
?Buffalo and Montreal are still kicking around, but really at the end of the day the Leafs first round playoff opponent was always going to be Boston. All that's left to decide is who gets home ice advantage
?This sure would be a good night for a William Nylander breakout performance
Injuries

?Joakim Nordstrom - Leg - Injured Reserve
?Charlie McAvoy - Foot - Probable Saturday
Code:

?Tyler Ennis - Ankle - Injured Reserve
?Garret Sparks - Concussion - Out indefinitely
?Frederik Andersen - Groin - Questionable Saturday

I:

1) Hate Boston
2) Harbor a secret fear that they possess some magical power over us
3) Feel that it somehow resides within the diabolical figure of #63
4) Figure that tomorrow will be an easy win for TOR because the Hockey Gods are perpetrating a Cosmic Fakeout on us with the intent to
5) Crush our will to live come April when Nylander is held pointless in the series, Freddie blows a 5-0 lead going into the G7 3rd, Chara ragdolls Marner just because, and a certain Bruin licks the face of our coach with impunity

Big game towards having home ice in the first round.  Go Leafs Go!  Don't make me switch to the Cowboys/Rams game!

With 35 plus games to go it's no bigger then the other game in the regular season. if this was down to the last 10 or so, then it could be a big game.

False.  It?s easy to stay ahead of the bruins with a 6 point lead than a 3 point lead. Definitely bigger than other games.

Happy hutch is starting. Even if Freddie wasn?t sick this wasn?t the game to bring him back.  Like our chances tonight.

They need to beat the Bruins at least once this season. Tonight is as good of time as any to prove they can indeed beat them should it end up in yet another 1st round playoff match up with these guys.

We beat them on Nov 26...

A win tonight would be sweet, and a loss would be sour.

Think I'll order me some Chinese for dinner.

GO LEAFS GO!

You think what you want, it's still only 2 max points. And there'll be nothing easy about staying ahead of Boston even if it was 10 points. They're healthy and a very good team.

My memory is playing tricks on me. It feels like they've lost every game to them since last years playoffs.

This is literally no way to argue that a 6 point lead isn?t better than a 2 point lead.

If the Leafs can curtail the Pastrnak line, then they stand a chance for a win.  If not...

GO LEAFS GO!!

I know this is one of the best lines in hockey but don't understand how they can get the best of us every time.
For the life of me I don't get how Marchand can run around and do what he basically wants when he plays us. Frustrating as hell to watch.
Play them tough, hit them any chance you can and get them off their game.
One line team shut them down and yours chances of winning are excellent.
