Canadiens vs. Maple Leafs - Jan. 18th, 7:00pm - SN, Fan 590

Not gonna lie…I was major pi**ed off when Habs got up 3-0…I can’t stand losing ANY game to the Habs….and then……and then and Willy ties it right away….and then etc etc..what a game from Woll. Worried a bit about his acrobatics and hope he feels good tomorrow morning. What a game.

I am really liking OEL. He plays with a bit of snarl, has some offfensive ability and has good hockey IQ. So glad he is a Leaf.

I had no idea how good Tanev was. If figured it was all hype where every RHD no currently a Leaf is the best player out there. McCabe is better than I imagined.

You sound like you have the same distaste as me. There is not one single thing I like about that team. I didn't watch a minute of it. Can't stand the goal horn, the announcer the obnoxious fans you name it. Nice to the see the comeback but even nicer seeing some secondary scoring.

A very nice win but the fact that they had to insert Dominik Hasek's goalie-soul into Woll's body is not a sustainable strategy.

It was so fun to watch. That perhaps was the most entertaining I've seen a Woll performance. So many saves with a stretched out toe.... saves point blank w the glove, plus the Knob Save.

Amazing performance by Woll. Cringed a few times at some of the contortions he was going through. Nice to get offsensive contributions from throughout the lineup. That said, they do obviously have a lot to work on. I think they can get away with having one of Timmins/Benoit/Myers in the lineup but 2 is pushing it - that is an area to upgrade for sure. Center continues to be an issue and another spot that needs an upgrade. Ideally Domi moves to a wing on a line with a couple of good defensive players (not Nylander lol). For now I'm ok with seeing what Holmberg can do as second line center - he seems "different", more aggressive and confident than earlier in the season and obviously has some skills. Will it hold up as the games pile up...probably not.

I have to add something about Robertson...I know he is small and loses a lot of physical battles and is prone to overhandling the puck in the defensive zone, but he has some crazy talent. You can tell that he thinks the game really well, makes some really smart/clever passes and of course has the great shot. I also like that he is willing to initiate contact and doesn't shy away from confrontations (though maybe he should). If only he were a couple of inches taller and 15-20 pounds heavier.
