Game Notes
VAN
-Kevin Lankinen (15-7-6, 2.60 GAA, .904 Sv%) will likely start for the Canucks
-Vancouver lost 2-0 against Carolina on Friday night in the first game of their back-to-back set. The Canucks had Demko in net for that one and Elias Pettersson returned to the line-up after missing 6 games with an undisclosed injury
TOR
-Joseph Woll (14-7-0, 2.58 GAA, .912 Sv%) will likely start for the Leafs
-The Leafs had a day off on Friday so it's unknown what line-up they'll go with on Saturday. Making some assumptions like Pacioretty coming back in

I don't know if this is load managing as opposed to just standard goalie management. Woll, or any starting goalie nowadays, wouldn't be starting 14 straight games between back to backs.
Yeah, I could be convinced of this since that article that cw posted mentions he's played 8 out of last 10, but that also included a little break for Christmas...I was more looking at the fact that he's only started 21 games this season.

It's not that I love the defense of 5 forwards on the PP but I don't understand the rope Rielly gets to stay on the top PP unit.

He has one goal and one primary assist on the PP.

But he was out until Oct 24th and he was splitting the net with Stolarz who only played in 17 games.

Lmao

Hildeby struggles with the first shot most games he’s started in the NHL

L1 eats another - that isn’t their fault

Rielly can't handle passes and doesn't shoot. I get that the Leafs are better if he gets it going but when a guy like Robertson doesn't even get on the PP I just don't get how he gets sooon fed minutes when the 5 on 5 performance doesn't justify getting reward time

Same old story year after year coddling of the stars. He's not the only one who shouldn't be sent out there but we don't want to ruffle any feathers.

I've been saying this since he came into the league and worked his way onto the PP. Horrible guy to QB it. Indecisive, no shot whatsoever, always dishes off sp predictable and no threat. I would leave OEL on the 1st unit. At least he can shoot it once in a while. WTF is the difference it sucks as it is now.
