Capitals vs Rangers

Fair enough, he was as culpable as most other players, he made a distinct move to clear the puck, perhaps not off the glass, but that's how it wound up, 99% of the delay of game penalties called are also unintentional over the glass results.

I think it should have been called, but I understand your position.

Fwiw, I know extremely little, but the U.S. broadcast agrees it should have been called.

TSN had Kerry Fraser explain why it was a good non-call, and, as much as I still dislike the man, I agree with him. It's not necessarily about having the intention to put the puck out, but, about having the intention of sending the puck on a trajectory by which is could go out. That wasn't present here.

Oh, and Caps win.

With an OT PP goal off "puck over the glass".  While the puck touches the glove in the faceoff call is the worst on the books, this one is beyond horrible and influences the game way more often due to the frequency of the call.

It's always been very unsatisfying for me to see a game settled by a PP on that call. I don't think I'll ever fully accept this rule as it currently is called

The US broadcast wanted the penalty called because they have a rooting interest in the Rangers doing well. They were wrong though, the d-man just took a swipe at it and it went out.

Penalty or not, the Rangers didnt deserve to win anyway.

Did Brad Richards even play?

Rangers 4-3 winners over the Capitals in New York.  Washington leads series 2 games to 1.

New York's goaltending led by Henrik Lundqvist was solid.

Rags up 2-0 in the 2nd, Caps have 9 shots.

I got to see the first goal. Holtby's fault all the way. He slid clear across the net leaving an open cage.

Rangers tie series at 2-2 after their 4-3 win over the Caps.

Ovechkin is really giving 110% on defence as well as offence this series.

Guys glitch out and do that all the time in NHL 2013. Ovechkin must be taking their lead.

this version of the gif explains it a bit better...

I mean, we've all had this exact thing happen to us ;)

Caps beat Rangers in OT last right 3-2. Lead series 3 games to 2.  Now, back to Manhattan Sunday night.

Rangers registered only 4 shots on goal in the third period, and the Caps' Ovechkin hardly registered his presence on the radar. Mysteries, indeed.
