Colborne recalled

maybe JVR sits, and he gets a test with Kessel. ;D. never thought I would see this untill next season.

Nice, he deserves a carrot. I have a theory that he needs to play some NHL hockey, because he's been in the AHL for a little longer than most and may be regressing. I realize that he's not super-AHL-man, but I have a feeling that he may just have to play above his head, if not just a little to get him developing quicker. I could be wrong, but it's my guess.

I wouldn't say Kadri was dominating the AHL either.. high skill guys sometimes tend to not peak in the AHL.. maybe because the game isn't nearly as fluid as the NHL and your linemates simply can't think the game the way you do.  Hopefully JC has a similar leap forward as Kadri... not saying he will reach those heights, just that his game might progress in a smilar fashion.

McLaren has the flu, so I'd imagine he's just here for a game or two. Probably centre the 4th line with his Marlies linemate Hamilton. I doubt Carlyle will move him to the wing to play in the top-9.

Very odd timing for this move, not sure you play him on the wing.  I would have expected him up if Bozak were dealt.  I guess with only 12 games left and you want to evaluate talent there is no wasting time.

Well, I'm hoping that he does well. Having a big guy like him develop and turn into something special would be awesome.

He's on a line with McLaren and Hamilton at practice.

Sounds like he won't dress tonight.

A little weird that they'd even bring him up then if Mac and Komarov are both good to go. Maybe they just wanted to give him a couple days of NHL pay.

I'm told that they do exactly that to motivate and reward guys.  Give them a taste of the paycheque, and some NHL life.

@HennyTweets

Colborne plays tonite if mcclaren can't go . He's had the flu. Komarov won't play. Macarthur status not lnown, o'byrne as well. #tmltalk

Likely with McLaren sick, Komarov and Mac possibles just needed some insurance just in case.  I thought Hamilton had been sent back down, was he called back up?

Yeah. Hamilton was just sent down to qualify him for the Marlie's playoffs. Carlyle has been impressed by him so they are going to keep him up longer.
