Corsi Numbers

Also it should be added that Zetterberg's +/-'s over those years in no way "match up" to his point totals.

Here's the same +/- data with his point totals

2009-10  +12 (23 g, 47 A, 70 gp)
2010-11  -1 (24 g, 56 A, 80 gp)
2011-12  +14 (22g 47 A, 82 gp)
2012-13  +2 (11 g, 37 A, 46 gp)
2013-14  +19 (16 g, 32 A, 45 gp)
2014-15  -6 (17 g, 49 A, 77 gp)

So Zetterberg's most productive year in terms of goals and assists was his second worst +/- year. He had virtually identical outputs in 11-12 and 14-15 and then again in 12-13 and 12-14 but with wildly different +/-'s both times.

So the idea that it aligns to points in any meaningful way in Zetterberg's case doesn't have much merit.

You're absolutely right, an anomaly perhaps?

So why the differences, would corsi explain it better or were there insidious forces throwing a wrench into any semblance of logic?

Maybe an insidious anomaly?
