LOL, I've actually been tracking Laine's games since that article came out.  The author failed to mention that Laine had played 4 or 5 more games than Matthews while leading in points.  Auston is now 3 points behind Laine with 4 fewer games played.

Both are on pace for 65 points too.

I'd bet money on Matthews finishing with more goals and assists.
 
It does not matter IMO who scores more. It is who the best leader, which I think Matthews leads by a long shot
