You know, I didnt think Hainsey had anything left when we signed him let alone get to this point where we all collectively stole Bruce Springsteens nickname for him.

Nylander had that great pass to Rielly, a would?ve been good pass to Matthews if he was there, a strong backcheck, and then danced into his office with zero gas left to sling a fadeaway wrister on a sliding Schneider, all in one shift.
Kinda funny Hall basically left Nylander alone but I think he mightve been playing a potential pass to Gardiner.

The last thirty seconds:

Edit: Carlton struggling to get up on an O/T winner is a beautiful sight to see.

Small but nice point: I thought JVR played a better-than-usual defensive game.  A couple of times I noted him back-checking effectively ... 2x more than usual.

It?s only fair after Nylander also gave Hall a free pass just before.

Good lord, that was awful.  Nylander let him walk right in.

While looking particularly egregious in isolation, it's not like anyone else was stopping Hall last night (other than Andersen). It was also a really good play by the Devils catching the Leafs tired.

Full OT
- Shift starts at 8:36 for Kadri - Nylander - Rielly
- Kadri strips Hall after he had taken the scramble off the draw and springs Nylander, who hits Rielly with a lead pass for a breakway (8:47)
- Nylander comes all the way back from the NJ goal line to break up Zajac's centering pass (8:57)
- Nylander tracks Moore back to the blueline and follows his man properly.
- (9:03) Moore smartly skates it into Kadri's coverage before bumping to the strong side as he knows his side is changing.
- Kadri starts to tail Moore after releasing Hall at the blueline, but Nylander doesn't fully handoff Moore to shade the sneaking Hall (Hall is really good at this). At this point, the Leafs are already 30 seconds into their shift and trapped.
- Palmieri sends a nice pass through Rielly's coverage (he's also gassed) at 9:04.
- This looks like a knob save by Andersen on Hall.

- Watch Hall deliberately dance through Rielly and Nylander's cross over coverage to get open at 9:20 when Palmieri circles at the blue line. Hall is ridiculously good at getting open. This is also clearly something Hynes has coached his team to do (forcing accidental picks).
- Palmieri elects to take the low percentage shot hoping for the rebound to Hall, but Andersen smartly kicks it out off the boards (9:21)
- Rielly still has the wherewithal to position himself high to shield the puck off the boards (9:22) and spring Nylander
- 9:24 and Nylander is now 48 seconds into his shift and busting his hump down the ice
- This 9:27 spin-o-rama centering pass that no one expects would have been a beautiful Matthews goal if he had been on the ice, but Rielly was changing and Kadri was still labouring up the ice. Three more strides and Kadri could've had it.
- Instead, Kadri picks up the errant pass and cycles behind the net with Nylander
- 9:32 Nylander wanders into the middle of the ice passing by Hall, who bit hard on Nylander's head fake towards Gardiner coming in down the wing, and elected to shade the defenseman instead (see the replay at 10:22)
- 9:34 Palmieri is clearly unfamiliar with Nylander and so he gives him several extra feet of space in coverage, also thinking he might pass to Gardiner
- Nylander buries a quick wrister past Schneider's left pad as he was cheating blocker side and got caught with the puck reversing on his movement when Nylander turned his hands. Hard to see from the back of his head, but it looked like Nylander was eying high blocker corner and let it fly low glove.

I need a gif machine.

This is a really sweet moment.

Whoever made the sign also needs some grammar lessons.
