Sitting here watching this vanilla hockey from the Leafs and it came home to me how big a price we are paying now for Dubas's swings-and-misses at the deadline all those years. We could use a couple of homegrown halfway decent young forwards in the lineup right now. The team seems to have lost its jolt.

There is absolutely nothing in the pipeline to get excited about. Zilch. Tre and company should be looking long and hard at players in college or better yet overseas KHL etc. Someone who can come in and make some kind of impact. Maybe someone who's good enough for the top 6 and maybe push someone down in the lineup. As much as I'd like to see them add at the deadline I hope Tre doesn't trade another 1st. Pathetic how many picks we've squandered away and what did it get us?
