Matthews really doesn't seem right. I don't think I've noticed anyone beyond Marner this game so far.
Sorry but you really need to watch. Matthews has been very noticeable.

Kind of annoying when I've been watching since the first.
Matthews has been very good so far.

He's bobbled the puck way more this year than he did last year. Today is no exception. Lowest scoring since rookie year. Highly doubtful he's just snakebit.

Keefe all but admitted he's playing with some kind of nagging problem.  He DID admit it, in the past tense, but reading between the lines, I think it's still there.

Willy with the hard sauce with everyone?s eyes fixated on his stick

After Laff laid it gently on a pillow for him.

The Laff pass was less relevant than his speed pushing the defense back without giving them time to recover their gap on the drop.

I don't think it's so easy to be speed burning up the ice and then lay a perfect drop pass ... as opposed to the usual Leafs Drop Pass That Ends Up In Our Net.?

I figured they would make this lineup change eventually to get some handedness balance

1000%. He doesn't look bad, but he doesn't look like dominant Auston.

Ooof, lucky not to be down 2-1.
Jarnkrok also hit the post. What about the rebound that hopped over his stick with a wide open net? Works both ways.

I'm just talking about the beginning of the PP at the end of the period.

I'll be interested to see lafferty as 2nd L center. He's got a lot more speed than Tavares, and might actually be a better option 5 on 5.

Not according to Poulin. Anyway just got home pretty even game?

Devils dominated the 1st but Samsonov was brilliant.  Leafs turned the tables for the first 15 minutes of the second.  Now they have to kill off 3+ minutes of a bad Holmberg high-sticking penalty.
