OEL was very nearly a #1 D-man in the league in his heyday, but toiled away in obscurity with the moribund Coyotes.

Man, OEL was like a top-10 defenceman in the entire league in his prime.

It's early still, but he looks really good so far.  I remember when he first broke into the league, we were wishing for a defenceman like him, then he sort of fell out favour the last few seasons, people had said he was a shadow of his former self. Hopefully this is a late career renaissance for the guy, would be huge if both him and Tanev keep up the good play.

Also, after watching Stolarz and Hildeby for like one game each... I can't believe we spent so many seasons tolerating Jack Campbell + Ilya Samsonov goaltending. I think we all aged an extra 8 years watching them play with vested interest.

I found Campbell stabilizing when his game was on point.  Both Campbell and Samsonov go swimming the second they lose the net and it leads to disasters. 

Woll, Stolarz, Hildeby are all big body, get in good position and take away the angles guys.  Stolarz might be the least atheltic of the three and he moves across the net extremely well too.
