Eastern Conference Final Bruins (4) vs Pens (1)

I get no satisfaction of Bruins winning the cup thinking well we pushed them to the limit. In 2011 Montreal pushed them to the limit in the first round. losing in a game 7 in OT. Then the year after the Habs finished third worst in league

I think anybody taking any satisfaction in it would be taking satisfaction in pushing the Cup winners to the limit, not out of any sense of it leading to success the next season.

Well, except for the person who just brought it up that BL was responding to.

And it you believe the statisticians, that's pretty much where we're headed.  They're probably right if we stay so weak at centre.

I'm just hoping for an original six matchup for the final?..which I want Chicago, not Boston, to win. But first Boston has to cream Pittsburgh, and they're having an easier time of that than they did re-arranging the Rangers or raking the Leafs.

*groan*

Correct. I'd take a slight bit of satisfaction if the Bruins won the cup, firstly because the Leafs would have taken this years champs to the brink. Secondly, I believe we're seeing a Leaf team that is on the rise, and could challenge for the big prize sooner rather than later. They may fall back a bit next year (or not), but I really think they can make, at the very least, a good playoff push in the next year or three.

Is that really so hard to imagine, or are you just being your normal provocative, presumptuous self?

I was just pointing out that what Potvin was saying was directly contradicted by what you said. I have absolutely no interest in discussing the legitimacy of what you believe the future holds.

I have stopped watching since the Leafs were eliminated. I haven't even watched highlights.

I have barely watched anything either and I usually watch all of the playoffs. Still hurts, the Leafs played awesome that series, I wanted MORE!

I don't think I'd be happy at all if Boston won the Cup. I dislike them just like every Leaf fan, yet the bragging rights for being the only team that gave them a run for their money would still be a pretty hollow victory.

The Bruins from Round 1 compared to now are pretty much incomparable teams. It's just the cyclical nature of sports, every team has their peaks and valleys.

I don't really have anything against the Bruins. I took a liking to them during thier cup run.

The stopped the Canucks from winning , which I'm grateful for.

Geez, with all the flak Crosby gets you would think he was.... ahem....Phil Kessel lol. One would think that scoring the Golden Goal in 2010 would immortalize the guy.

But I do agree that Mr. Crosby gets a little unnecessarily vocal many a time.  8)

BTW rockin`photo Glennie.

woo! Crosby giveaway in the first minute, and David Krecji scores?.his 21st point of the playoffs. Already. Who picked him in the pools?

go Broooins :-)

I'm not sure what it is. I actually like Crosby... the rest of the Pens team I don't really care 2 cents about one way or another, but I'd like to see him rack up the hardware that he'd be getting if he wasn't always injured.

The guy has had an extremely rough past couple of years.
