Euro 2012 Thread

Being an England supporter feels eerily similar to being a Leafs fan.

I expect nothing but disappointment today.

I guess it's Young who's replacing Rooney?

They do have the benefit of zero expectations back in England at least - maybe that fear of losing they always play with will be lifted.  France is a bit of an outside contender - aside from the historic pressures of the rivalry on both teams all the pressure is on them in this one. I like England to finish 2nd in D....this is kind of like Italy / Spain yesterday where as if England can somehow draw today it will be celebrated / treated like a victory

Seems that way.

I'm hoping Welbeck plays well, he's shown quite a bit of promise this season with United. Also, I anticipate a Gerrard injury in the first half.

Next to Group B would you say D is the second toughest Group?

I think it's comperable with group C, but I don't know how to rate Croatia vs. Sweden which would probably be the difference.

Yeah I really don't know what to expect from Sweden.

I predict Rooney still finds a way to get red carded this game

He would have finished that chance Milner just had.
