I do not have a lot of talent when it comes to making these kinds of threads, but I gave it a try and will add info as it becomes available.

Please discuss.

A win would be nice.

Go Leafs Go!

Looks good to me, thanks for doing it.  (One suggestion -- Often, the person starting the GDT will give the TV telecast info and game start time.)

Ah, I love having a GDT once again!

For the love of God, please don't get blown out otherwise the media and blogs will crucify whoever started - and Nonis for not having given up the farm for Luongo.

Ah, a GDT. It,so like the first day in the spring when you can drive with the windows and sunroof open. Thanks for doing it Michael.... Though I'm fairly certain these aren't the defense pairings Carlyle last practiced with.

I think its Kostka with Phaneuf, Komosarek with Liles, and Franson with Gunny IIRC.

With  Suppan not yet signed and hence absent from the Habs lineup this will help the Leafs out for sure.  Price has been confirmed to be ok now to start which is too bad. I see a 4-2 win here for our Leafs,  I am not a football fan but this feels like Superbowl Sunday to me.

lets get a little contest going here... what line gets the first goal and most tonight, could be a nice add on to the GDT from game to game I think.

me .... first goal, Grabbos line.
..... most goals from a line, Grabbos as well.

After being in Australia for the last half of 2010-11 season and all of 2011-12, I am so excited to finally watch a Leafs game on a TV, at night, and in HD again.

I predict a close game with the Habs prevailing in OT or SO. Leafs pepper Price with shots and outshoot Montreal badly but Price and special teams seal it for them.

Oh and Markov leaves with a knee injury after his first shift.

Leafs' Ben Scrivens in visitors net for pre-game skate; usually that's where starter is

Jonas Siegel ‏@jonasTSN1050
Ben Scrivens looks to be the starter tonight in Montreal.

31 years young....mike komisarek celebrates birthday in montreal. He'll lineup with j.m liles tonight. #tmltalk

So I think the D will be:
Phaneuf Kostka
Liles Komisarek
Gunnarsson Franson

EDIT: - a number of tweets reporting Gunnarsson-Komisarek pairing.

"Scared shitless. " Randy Carlyle describing his emotions before season opener.

:)

Looking forward to the game tonight.  Long time coming....

I'm Looking forward to nhl debuts of Komorov and Kostka and Leafs debuts of JVR and mcclement.

Here's hoping Kadri, Phaneuf and Kulemin become keys to success all season long.

I'm hoping Lupul stays healthy and Kessell doesn't regress (whatever that means!)

I'm hoping the duo of scrivens and Reimer are above average.  I know they can deliver that much....but will they is a different question.

Also hoping that Gardiner can continue to develop and isn't harmed long term by the injury or a recurrence.  I'm a little worried about this....

Go Leafs Go!!!!!  It's great to be a fan again!!!!
