No diss, really. Should’ve signed him in the offseason to an ‘overpay’ on long term.
Just crazy how Nylander is casually having someone else’s career high output with a mish mash of linemates. Remember the Kessel years when Phil hitting 35 was a huge achievement for the Leafs? Now the 40G man is an afterthought because we also have Matthews hitting 40-60 on the regular.
McMann is way older, but really good to see him popping off in bottom-6 usage with almost no support. If he was healthy last playoffs…
I think this highlights the point I, and others have been making (you might have too) when they shit in the ‘core 4’ - we’ve never seen this much talent on the team at the same time and so many people want to blow it up for a defensive defenceman.
Sports is entertainment. Enjoy this period, because it won’t last forever. There’s going to come a time where the leafs are going to be the shit team they were 15 years ago and who knows how long that will last.
