Agree that goal was awesome and he was a huge presence on the ice

The first period was a disaster but thought they played a lot better after that. 

Reimer and Phaneuf were excellent... Steckel was very good... And Kessel at least had some chances.  I thought Frattin was pretty decent as well.

Would like to see some more offensive chances and puck control but it's 1 game.  Good to get the W.

So, should the Shan-bani-shed continue being built unabated does a reduced amount of more vicious physicality help with Leaf success this year given they're a pretty damn fast team? That was a quick game tonight with some timid checking compared to last year and the Leafs seemed to benefit from it to me.

I also thought that was one of Komisareks better games as a Leaf.  He wasn't bad tonight at all.

Personally I was surprised at how well Komisarek looked tonight. He played solid and took the body quite a bit just what he needs to do to stay in there ahead of Franson.

Great game....great two periods of a game I guess. Last year it would have been us having the great first and dying in the second and third. I like that turn around. Win or lose if we play hard every night I'll be happy.
