Game 11 - Toronto Maple Leafs @ Ottawa Senators L3-2

Going to the game tonight. Was looking forward to booing Alfie, but I guess I'll be happy enough with a Leafs win.

Gooood... GOOOOD!

Interesting. I wonder what situations they are going to use Orr in this season.

And let's be honest, this is better than booing him.

This one could be close. I think it goes a single goal either way, but I'm scared to guess which way.

Is Alfie hurt after that little elbow to the head yesterday?

It was a flying knee.

.. should have been followed by a Suplex, then a Chokeslam, then a Leg drop and then maybe a DDT for good measure.  :P

Those moves are pretty old school.

I'm out of the loop.

Apparently.
;]

best pre-game show ever :D

I guess, though I do like to yell.

Kidding aside, the Leafs lost to the Sens last year when I went, so I'm hoping they even the score.

Gunnar is playing lights out.  Him and Phaneuf look really strong together.

Gus looks much stronger, and looked a lot more confident last night.  When he took his time to put his mask back on when it was knocked off in the third, he was basking in it.

All 4 lines looked dangerous at points of the game.  I'm really enjoying watching the games lately.

However, there's still one guy that makes me nervous whenever he touches the puck...

You are referring to the Monster?

I think hes referring to Komi-kaze;I get that same feeling when he handles the puck, even though he has played better this season.

This smells like a letdown game. Hope I am wrong.

I'm thinking the same, but I wouldn't be happier to be dead wrong.

It could be a letdown game. I mean this Gustavsson thing is great and everything but I'm waiting for him  to fall back to earth a bit. It could just as easily happen tonight. Heck, it could happen to Kessel or Phaneuf too I suppose but I think Mirtle just made a good point re. Gus via twitter abut 40 minutes ago...

Last night had to have been Gustavsson's best game in a long, long time. Last November maybe? HNIC gave him first star.

Anyway, I hope it doesn't happen. My point being is this team can't lean on Kessel and Phaneuf forever. Some other people need to step up and Gus needs to keep it up.

I think Goose is just getting his game back. I don't really see him playing above his skill level. Maybe I'm not interpreting you post properly, but this coming back to earth thing doesn't really compute with me. I think he is only going to get more consistent and we haven't seen his best game yet IMO.

That's a positive way of looking at it and I hope you're right.

Edit: Sorry, I need to clarify. I just don't feel too good about leaning on a guy with two great performances in 11 months.  :-\ Yeah, he was good for the two games priot to last night's game too but just that I think... "good."

Anyway, Go Leafs go! Go Gus go!

I predict multiple heart attacks and lots of cursing in my household tonight.

Hopefully an entertaining tilt.

Go Leafs Go!
