Game 12: Leafs @ Canadiens - 7:00pm, CBC, RDS, NHLN-US

Anyone hear anything about Gardiner? I wonder when he'll be ready to return. I think he could have a really big impact on the team this season.

Complicated travel could affect the Leafs performance. Does anyone have the information when the Leafs managed to land in Montreal and if they had a morning skate?

WINNIPEG - The Blizzard of 2013 couldn?t keep the Maple Leafs from arriving in Montreal from Winnipeg on Friday night, braving high winds and blinding snow in the process.

I would play Holzer with Phaneuf tonight...

Holzer/ Phaneuf
Liles/ Franson
Kostka/ Komisarek

At any rate, the Leafs need to cut down on the goals against, or they'll start losing on the road soon enough also. Go Leafs Go!

Montreal is playing well this season but the Leafs seem to match up well against them.

I would have left Kostka with Phaneuf.  I think the Leafs defense has been fine this season.

A win tonight would be sweet, can we go 6-1 on the road?  I wish the Leafs didn't have any home games left, for whatever reason they just can't get it done at home but seem to have the moxie on the road.

Habs were in the same boat they played in Buffalo on Thursday night when the storm was first starting

Agreed.  Let Holzer loose with Phaneuf and lets see what the German can do.

Also really want the PP duo of Phaneuf and Kostka broken up. We need Phaneuf back on the right point on his offside shot.  Get Liles on the left for setup.

I don't think they should have split up Kostka and Phaneuf.  When we give up a lot of goals tonight and lose, you guys will see that I am right.

This is the problem with Toronto.  The fans and the media are too moody.  What happened to all the people who were raving, going on and on about Kostka at the beginning of the season?  He's been playing fine with Phaneuf IMO.  Fine, take him off the powerplay, but for a young player to log that many minutes and not give up too many chances, he has done very well so far IMO.

Though impressed with Kostka, many felt he was playing too many minutes and also felt he was holding Phaneuf back. Placing Phaneuf with a stay at home guy like Holzer, it allows Phaneuf to play a little more up the ice which will hopefully pot us more chances from the back end.

If it ain't broke, don't fix it.  The Leafs just won 2 games in a row.  They also only gave up 1 goal to Boston.  This move is really stupid IMO.
