MacArthur with Kadri and Frattin.

Good, really need to kick start Mac, Grabbo and Kulie, no points for any of them in 4+ games!
If they continue winning, then yes. At least do it after an ugly loss or something, not now.caveman said:You may feel it is stupid but Carlyle needs to have a look at different combinations early in the season. Are you suggesting he leaves Kostka with Phanuef all season without even attempting new line ups ?

Eking out a couple of one-goal victories doesn't change the fact that Kostka is -6 and our PP and PK have sunk to the bottom fifth of the league with him playing top pair. Not all his fault, he's pretty good for an NHL rookie but it's time to give someone else a shot.

that is why they are playing holzer now. I'm surprised an NHL vet like Liles or Komi or Franson are being played less they NHL rookies.

This move is really stupid IMO.OldTimeHockey said:sickbeast said:I don't think they should have split up Kostka and Phaneuf. When we give up a lot of goals tonight and lose, you guys will see that I am right.
This is the problem with Toronto. The fans and the media are too moody. What happened to all the people who were raving, going on and on about Kostka at the beginning of the season? He's been playing fine with Phaneuf IMO. Fine, take him off the powerplay, but for a young player to log that many minutes and not give up too many chances, he has done very well so far IMO.
Though impressed with Kostka, many felt he was playing too many minutes and also felt he was holding Phaneuf back. Placing Phaneuf with a stay at home guy like Holzer, it allows Phaneuf to play a little more up the ice which will hopefully pot us more chances from the back end.

I have said before that it is a sad testament to the overpaid duds those guys have been. Carlyle decides to move the guy with 11 games off the top pair and he finds a guy with a only 6 to be a better choice than those veterans.

Totally agree. Heads are called to roll when something isn't done the second it falters once rather than showing patience. Man, I would hate to see what this place would look like during a proper rebuild when one of our "blue chip" prospects develops slower than Kadri.
