Game 16: Leafs @ Panthers - 7:30Pm, SNET-O, FS-F

Who are these idiot refs? Komarov is going to get a reputation and he hasn't done anything. It's going to dramatically reduce his effectiveness.

I think it's safe to say that Nazem Kadri has arrived.
Is Carlyle the difference for Kadri this year ?

I wouldn't say the whole difference, I think Eakins and just general progression and maturing plays a part too. But certainly the way Carlyle has handled him seems to be night and day from Wilson.
You mean throwing a rookie with under 15 games under the bus doesn't build confidence? Lol Wilson was awful with Kadri

The best part about it is that the refs didn't give him a penalty for the hit initially.  So it was entirely based on the fact that he got crosschecked in the back twice by the Florida Panther.  So 2-minutes for hitting a guy effectively enough to make him draw a penalty.

Bad play by MacArthur.  He had a good shot from the slot and passed back for a tougher shot by Franson.

That's how I saw it.

These clowns then pass word along that Komarov is an instigator and a diver and then the refs look the other way when guys take liberties with him. So he goes from an overall clean player who draws penalties to virtually useless because of referees.

His 2nd penalty was for diving also, what a joke.

I would say Carlyle's been the difference for the whole team this year. Jack Adams should they make the dance?

+2 for franson and fraser. I don't think you can take either guy out of lineup. Not when their a combined +23!

Not to mention Franson is our leading offensive D-man with 9 pts in 13 games.  He still makes the occasional bad pass like he did in the 1st but his defensive game in both body and stick work looks much better this year to me.

So this is a bit premature, but who starts tomorrow night?  Do they bring the Bus out of the garage?

If Scrivens has a relatively quiet 3rd I think I'd go with him because he's so deep in the zone, even though I almost never think it's a good idea for goalies to play on consecutive nights.

Jeez, I feel so foolish right now. Thought the game was on leafstv and have been watching a stream this whole time completely oblivious to the sportsnet graphics. UGH!!!!

I think it was Mirtle who tweeted today that the Leafs coaching staff don't think Rynnas is ready for NHL action just yet, so most likely Scrivens gets the start.
