Game 21 - Maple Leafs @ Hurricanes - 5:00pm

That turnover led to probably over a minute of sustained pressure in the Leafs zone. I don't know how you can't call that pressure. The Leafs did a good job containing them but they were clearly gassed and that Carolina missed the net is on them.

I just don't consider it really pressure unless the other team is getting scoring chances out of it.  Continually ringing it around the boards is not impressive.  Obviously the Leafs aren't going to outskate the puck doing that, but otherwise they didn't allow any really good chances.  But we've beat this to death longer than it needs...

What a boring period.

commercial break with 35 seconds left in first.. haha slow it down boys people are losing money

I blame the goal against on that.  I remember thinking that when they went to commercials too...

Not a great goal to allow there, but, hopefully, a good wake up call. Leafs still look half asleep. I expect a better effort in the 2nd.

I never said they generated any good chances and I agree the Leafs did a good job containing them. All I was trying to point out is that it was a particularly bad and unnecessary turnover and those are the kinds of situations that can easily (and have many times in the past) led to a goal against. The potential was there for chances to be generated, especially when the team is gassed.

Either way yeah, this has been beaten to death. Although this largely meaningless argument is a pretty good illustration of how boring that period was  8)

Typical Leafs, Jay Harrison only has 4 goals in his last 92 games, and he breaks out against us.
odds of a ex leaf scoring on us is pretty good considering half of team is ex leafs :)

For some reason the Leafs suck against the Canes. They just don't know how to play these guys.

I don't know, we were 2-2 against them last season, so it's not like Boston or anything.

Ya. That stat is erroneous because the Canes were bad but the Leafs worse.
Winnable games for sure. The leafs choke.

Leafs were 4-2 against Boston last year. 4-4 in their last eight against B-Town.
