Lupul is back and Playing with Kadri and Kulemin in the battle for the 7th spot in the East, a win could pump the Leafs to the 5th place again. A loss could send then to the 8th spot, 1 point ahead of the 9th place Rangers*.
(*Rangers with 2 games in hand over the Leafs, and IF the Rangers win tonight).

Projected Lineup:

JVR-Bozak-Kessel
McArthur- Grabo - Frattin
Lupul - Kadri - Kulemin
Komarov- McClement - Orr/McLaren

Phaneuf - Holzer
Gunnar - Liles/Kostka
Fraser - Franson

No word on who will start in net. Update: Scrivens gets the start.

The Skid stops tonight, Leafs need to come out strong and hammer the Jets.

Go Leafs Go!!!

LupulBear is so pissed off at me right now. Her guy is finally back.......and I have tickets to tonight's Barrie Colts last home game of the regular season.

I'll record the hockey game and visit the GDT later I suppose, but LupulBear will be so mad to not be posted every time he scores tonight....

Unless someone else takes over the job today :-) it's very simple just post

I was there over March break for 9 days and actually missed 4 games, my first missed games of the season.  The internet connection from my room at the resort I was at was so poor I cound'nt even get a stream to work.  I did however manage to be able to go out on the balcony in a certain spot and while looking out over the ocean I was able to catch the Pens-Leafs shootout loss.  Paradise became h@ll in the matter of 5 minutes.

McArthur- Grabo - Frattin  - One could easily argue they're all 3rd in their positions depth chart.  Still get called the 2nd line though.

You slot Grabs below Bozak in the depth chart.  Randy rubbing off on you?

Hard to argue the point this season. Grabo has been pretty bad apart from a handful of games.  And I say in full knowledge of the fact that Bozo has been pretty bad as well.

Kulemin and Grabovski are #4 & #5 in ice time per game among forwards.

But he hasn't been, unless we're only taking into consideration purely offensive output and ignoring his usage.  He's started 34% of his shifts in the offensive zone, only McClement and Kulemin have started less.  I don't get why it's still so hard to put 2 + 2 together re: Grabovski - he's getting the 7th most PP/time a game among forwards, and when used at even strength he's getting the toughest matchups and starting the overwhelming majority of his shifts in the Leafs end (aka it's harder to score when you start only 35% of your shifts in the offensive zone; Kadri? 50%).  Despite that his Corsi is 2nd on the team when quality of competition is taken into account - meaning despite the toughest minutes, his line is actually driving possession and getting chances.

He's not having a bad year, Carlyle is just deploying him in a way that is making his points totals suffer.
