Crucial back to back with NYR... win it all and Leafs might be 8 points ahead of the 7th place. Lose it all and they are both tie. These two games plus the Isles games are the key to clinch it

Release the Kadri!

Go Leafs Go!!!

I can't believe NYR got more for Gaborik then Columbus got for Nash.  Especially since those 2 trades were both with the same teams.

I think it would take a real stretch to say that New York got more for Gaborik than what Columbus got for Nash.

How about Steve Delisle getting traded for both players?

Columbus Blue Jackets traded Rick Nash, Steve Delisle and a conditional 3rd round selection to the New York Rangers for Brandon Dubinsky, Artem Anisimov, Tim Erixon and a 1st round selection in 2013.

New York Rangers traded Marian Gaborik, Steven Delisle and Blake Parlett to the Columbus Blue Jackets for Derick Brassard, Derek Dorsett, John Moore and a 6th round selection in 2014.

Well it's not like Frattin is the best candidate for the "play two minutes and fight someone" role.  It's more like Frattin sits while McClement goes to the 3rd line allowing both Colborne & Hamilton to play.

I'll be interested in watching Ryane Clowe play tonight.  2 goals, 4 points in his 3 games with the Rangers.  Stories of his demise (as a hockey player) were greatly exagerrated, and while I hope he doesn't score tonight, I hope he plays out the season strong and that the Leafs go after him this summer.

What worries me is that Lundqvist is playing absolutely lights out right now and he could singlehandedly win this game for the Rangers.  He hasn't let up more than 2 goals in a game in his past 10 starts.

He does have a spotty history against the Leafs, though, so, maybe that balances things out a little.

Well if Frattin plays you could play the line more than 2 minutes and not even have to fight!

no Lupul  :(

on the up side, my Colts have a ball-squeezing 3-0 lead on the Oshawa Generals in their series, game 4 is tomorrow night. (thank you to the scheduling gods who didn't put the Leafs and Colts games on same night this round!)

Ball-squeezing lead? I'm not sure I particularly care for that analogy.  :( :-[ :'(

Steve Delisle must be the most valuable player in either trade ;-)
