Let it go.  Randy likes toughness in the lineup, and that's the way it's going to be.

that's right, Carlyle would rather go with a tough line-up that can't skate or score goals...

no Lupul  :(

on the up side, my Colts have a ball-squeezing 3-0 lead on the Oshawa Generals in their series, game 4 is tomorrow night. (thank you to the scheduling gods who didn't put the Leafs and Colts games on same night this round!)

Ball-squeezing lead? I'm not sure I particularly care for that analogy.  :( :-[ :'(

okay, sorry. How about, they're holding all the aces now? Is that better?

Much. Thanks. ;)

Well it's not like Frattin is the best candidate for the "play two minutes and fight someone" role.  It's more like Frattin sits while McClement goes to the 3rd line allowing both Colborne & Hamilton to play.

the reason Frattin is siting is has been sucking hind arse since returning. IMO he needs to go to the Marilies for bit to get ready for the playoffs

It's like poetry.

Hamilton should never be taking Frattin's place in the line-up after the latter's performance earlier this season.  Hamilton reminds of Luca Caputi, except with a slightly worse name.

Frattin's performance earlier in the season has no relevance, it's what has he done lately, which is pretty much nothing.
2 assists in the last 11 games played, all while playing roughly 13 min/night.

then why not get Frattin going by putting him with Kadri and Lupul (when he gets back). Can he be sent to the Marlies for a tune up if need be???

He's been moved around since coming back, but I believe he had a couple of chances with Kadri, although he's been mostly playing with Grabovski if memory serves.  He just doesn't seem to be very effective at all out there.  Compared to what he did the first 10 games, the Leafs must be extremely disappointed at how he hasn't scored since coming back.  It's more of a message to Frattin than any kudos to Hamilton, they expected Frattin to produce more than he has lately. Whether it's the effects of the injury he had I don't know, but I suspect it's related since he's been a different player since returning.

Don't forget to sing the new Leafs hockey song at the game tonight.

I'll be interested in watching Ryane Clowe play tonight.  2 goals, 4 points in his 3 games with the Rangers.  Stories of his demise (as a hockey player) were greatly exagerrated, and while I hope he doesn't score tonight, I hope he plays out the season strong and that the Leafs go after him this summer.

Weren't those 4 points in his first game though?
