Game 39 - Tampa Bay Lightning vs Toronto Maple Leafs W7-3

Lightning striking, Leafs are falling.  Leafs have averaged less than 3 goals/per game in last 15, not what you would call an offensive scoring machine.  With no #1 goaltender, a porus defence and worst PK in the league = another big check in the loss column.  Do we see another repeat of last season happening again?  Think so. :'(

NO. I'd rather them both win. But really. Canada is out if they lose tonight. There's lots of time this season for the Leafs to win games.

I'll be switching over to the juniors game at 9:15. Hopefully the Leafs make that decision hard for me to make.

I hope you're wrong but I fear you're right.

With each passing year, I seem to care less about the WJHC.

I mean, I hope canada wins and all, but id honestly rather see the leafs grab the 2 points than get to watch one more junior game.

I fear Stamkos on the PP tonight. The only way the Leafs don't give up a PP goal is if we don't take a single penalty.

I still like to hear our national anthem played after the gold medal game. I also enjoy having a team to cheer for each year that actually has a good chance to win the championship when all is said and done. ;)

I used to be a big fan, but I don't think I've watched a game since the lockout year. Combination of just being busier during that time and not being all that interested. No real Leafs presence certainly hasn't helped.

Great, another goaltending mess. Just remember the goaltending mess Burke had in Vancouver.

Why?

Because it went on forever and he never managed to fix it before being shelved (Snow, Potvin, Weekes, Cloutier, Essensa - that is just a pile of mediocrity). History is repeating itself.

In fairness to Felix (and who doesn't love Felix?), it was a bad fit in Vancouver for whatever reason. Had he played even half as good as he did after being traded to L.A., Burke would've looked brilliant for bringing him in. Instead it was Dave Taylor looking sharp.

I'm thinking Phaneuf dominates tonite or else Komisarek emerges from the runway in the 3rd, skates onto the ice, and clotheslines him.
