Game 45: Ottawa Senators vs Toronto Maple Leafs 7:00 SNET-O

Gardiner needed to come out of the lineup (why was he sent to the minors for 1 day?) but I hope he can find a way to score his first goal and build some momentum in the second half.

Getting him into an AHL game before getting him back into the line-up was, as far as I'm concerned, a smart move. Think of it as an unofficial conditioning stint.

I think Reimer redeems himself in this one.

EDIT: And Busta, just nothing your post there, maybe they should have done the same with James after his pseudoconcussion.

I smell a Leafs stinker. Ottawa 4-1

No way man, Leafs have been off 2 days and know how important this game is.  They'll have just that little bit more bounce than the Sens.  Leafs had their stinker on Saturday.

Dunno, I have a feeling they will come out flat tonight and let in a quick first goal. Reimer will do that stupid fetal squat position for 10 seconds after he lets one in and it will snowball from there.

Alright. I'll take the opposite position for tonight and say the Leafs will come out flying. Reimer will be the difference in a Leafs win.

Reimer has been the forgotten man in all of this.  He gave the Leafs so much hope in goal from last Jan onwards and Leafs fans expected big things from him.  Since the whiplash (don't call it a concussion), he's been average.  If he can bounce back starting tonight, Leafs are in great shape down the stretch.  My optimistic self is hoping for a return to the steady Reimer.

Looks like Luke Schenn is a healthy scratch vs sens tonight.

Good. I was hoping it would be either him or Komi.

That ain't gonna help his trade value.

I think Komi needs (needed) to sit.

Also, watch the mass hysteria that ensues now from the trade happy gang who thinks this is a precursor to a trade.

Or, this might be an indication that Burke actually did tell him he wasn't going to be dealt.

Kadri is a healthy scratch also.

Funny game Ron is playing with us.

Well, Kadri, Schenn and a 1st is the new Antropov, Colaiacovo and a 1st . . . so, obviously, that means Stamkos is going to be a Leaf! ;D

I was thinking that the other day.

A+C+1 has become K+S+1 or K+K+1 (kulemin)

KS1 also works with Kadri of course... Both scratched.

mirtle: Schenn says defence haven't been told who's playing yet. Plot thickens. #notreally

jonasTSN1050: Would not be surprised if Mike Komisarek came out tonight for Jake Gardiner.

Not so fast?

I'm assuming Carkner is playing, and that's why Rosehill is in...

But yeah, caving to what the Sens want pretty much...

Wow we're trading Komisarek and Kadri?
