better win it's my damn birthday

Happy B-Day!

Looking for Gustavsson to rebound strong after that 3rd period meltdown in Pittsburgh... Go Leafs Go!!!

If the Leafs somehow pull off a win here then they really are "for real". That said I have no expectations here as itll be a tough game to win. Back to back nights, Winnipeg is waiting for us and they are a hell of a home team.

4-2 Jets :-(

The Leafs looked exhausted near the end of the game last night. I gotta think the Jets have the advantage tonight.

5-2 Winnipeg.

I have to sit through class at college today, then to the MTS Centre right after.

Wearing my Leafaholic99 jersey today, all day!

Go Leafs Go

The Leafs have had a lot of trouble with these back-to-back games, but they have a healthy team, two (now) reliable goalies, and are dangerous with pretty much all four lines.  I think they may be more of a threat tonight than they have been in previous back-to-back games.  Whether it's enough.. we'll see.  I'm not giving up on 'em.

The Jets are pretty solid at home, and the Leafs are coming off a back-to-back...that being said, I still think they do enough to salvage a point.

4-3 Jets in a shootout.

Now that armstrong has a few games back I would like the lines to be altered slightly.

Forwards:
Lupul - Bozak - Kessel
MacArthur - Grabovski - Kulemin
Lombardi - Connolly - Armstrong
Brown - Steckel - Crabb

Defence:
Gunnarsson - Phaneuf
Liles - Franson
Gardiner - Schenn

It just seems as though Armstrong has a better ability to gain control and protect the puck better than Crabb.  Now that Lombardi seems to be up to speed, Armstrong can get the puck to him and Connolly and they can do some damage. Armstrong is especially effective in the grey zone so he could catch the other two on the fly leaving the zone.  Crabb does not have that skill set. This will give us three very solid lines.  While I like and appreciate Crabb, the fourth line would be better with Brown-Steckel-?. The ? is where Burke needs to upgrade this team.  Imagine Moen with those two.  Now thats a playoff lineup.

Goaltenders:
Gustavsson
Reimer

I'm hoping Gustavsson has a big night tonight.  While the rest of the team might lack the legs and be a bit flat, if he plays great he could steal a win for the team.  Try to one-up Reimer after the last 3 games he's won.  Best laid plans...

First game home for Winnipeg after a looong road trip.  Usually a telltale sign of a letdown game for a team.  Also, 3 of their last 4 games at home were losses (they beat Buffalo, so that win barely counts) so some of that home ice invincibility might be wearing off.

The Leafs will be a bit tired after last night but Wilson rolled the lines and defense pairs so it might not be as bad as it could have been.

It probably comes down to the Jets home crowd noise, and whether they can still influence calls like that last completely ridiculous game. I'm sure the NHL has had a few quiet chats with the refs about that since then.

Ice time was evenly distributed last night, no one had played big minutes, Liles led the team with 22.

Which one of the D will score today? Phaneuf, Scheen, Franson and Gardiner have all scored within the last 3 games so who will it be tonight.  Im picking Liles?

This will be my 9th Jets game this season I'm attending, the Jets are 8-0-0 with me in attendance, hoping for the first loss!

Go Leafs Go!

Dude, quick, sell your ticket!

PK is the key tonite.  If we tie the franchise record at 15 straight games w/o a PP goal allowed, we win.

Gus will need to be extra-good, I'm thinking.
