PK is the key tonite.  If we tie the franchise record at 15 straight games w/o a PP goal allowed, we win.

Gus will need to be extra-good, I'm thinking.

They tied that record last night. Tonight would be game #16.

This team is running on all cylinders and I expect no end to it tonight - even considering the back-to-back.  Gus will have something to prove.

W 4 - 2

First game home for Winnipeg after a looong road trip.  Usually a telltale sign of a letdown game for a team.  Also, 3 of their last 4 games at home were losses (they beat Buffalo, so that win barely counts) so some of that home ice invincibility might be wearing off.

The Leafs will be a bit tired after last night but Wilson rolled the lines and defense pairs so it might not be as bad as it could have been.

It probably comes down to the Jets home crowd noise, and whether they can still influence calls like that last completely ridiculous game. I'm sure the NHL has had a few quiet chats with the refs about that since then.

Yeah, I'm hoping their legs are fine after a game where the 4th line played 11-12 minutes and none of the forwards played much over 20.  It was a pretty soft game where the Oilers didn't exactly hammer the Leafs physically either (hitting or with stick work).

Wilson can probably let that 4th line play even more tonight too since the Jets are a far less dangerous offensive team than the Oilers are.  Beating Wpg is more about trying to create offense than it is about keeping them from playing pond hockey.

Thanks.  No PP goals against, we win.  Otherwise it's going to be a struggle against the 19,000+ refs we'll be dealing with.

Full marks to Wilson for turning this around.  If at the end of December you had offered me $1000 on a ten-cent bet that they would go 15 games with a PP goal against, I would have held tight to my dime.

Wins tonight by both the Leafs and Sens might make it a 9 team race in the East. - Though I'm certainly hoping St. Louis keeps the Sens streak going.

We've been on such a high we're due for a let down.

Leafs lose, sens win.  Book it.

Also their 3rd in 4 nights - here's hoping they have enough left in the tank.
