Preview:

Season Series: This is the fourth of six meetings this season between the two Original Six rivals who will close out their seasons against each other on April 7. Toronto shut out the Habs 2-0 on opening night before topping the Canadiens 5-4 in overtime two weeks later. In their last meeting, Montreal beat the Leafs 3-1 thanks to third-period goals from Raphael Diaz and Lars Eller.

Big Story: Despite back-to-back losses at Winnipeg and Philadelphia, Toronto is still in the thick of the Eastern Conference playoff race while Montreal's hopes of making the postseason are hanging by a thread. The Canadiens have shown some signs of life in winning their last three games and Scott Gomez scored his first goal in more than a year Thursday night, inspiring spirited celebration among his teammates. With two months left in the regular season, this could be a pivotal matchup for both teams.

Minor line-up note: It looks like Boyce will enter the line-up, no word on who comes out. Guessing Crabb, with Armstrong moving up to the 3rd line.

Thanks, I couldn't find much information on the game. You'd think it would be everywhere! I'll change if things turn out different.

If the Sundin jersey raising ceremony doesn't fire these guys up I don't know what will. With the youth on the team watching what it was like to be a Captain and a Leader on this team, hopefully they use that to bring their games to the next level.

This is a HUGE game for so many reasons. The least of which are

It's Mats Night.

It's the Fricking Habs

It's Mats Night

Just like Prop said, if this game doesn't bring out the best in our guys some changes may need to be made.

4-3 Leafs Grabbo with a pair and a helper.

GO LEAFS GO!!!

Oh man, looking forward to tonight's ceremony and game.  I hope the team can make it extra special for Mats tonight and win!

Interesting tid-bit - Boyce is the only player on the Leafs' roster to have played a shift with Mats Sundin.

It might be Kulemin, as apparently his wife has gone into labour?

I heard she went into labour, couldn't find any info, where did you hear that?

markhmasters: Leafs' Nikolai Kulemin on the birth of his 2nd child last night: 'I'm really happy, good emotions, I think it'll help me to play better'

Cool, thanks. Last time he became a father he had 3 goals 2 assists in 4 games, hopefully he's right.

This game is a must win for the Habs.  They need about 18 wins to have a realistic sniff at making the playoffs.  Time is running out for them.  The Leafs on the other hand, could go 13-11-3 and still have more then a 80% chance of being in the playoffs.  Montreal should be the hungrier of the two teams.
