I'm not sure if this is what I predict or just what I want:  the Asthon/Frattin/Grabbo line pots a couple but Reimer gets lit up again and we lose.

Ashton Grabbo Frattin is not a good line... all I can say is I won't be watching as I have lost all hope.  Hopefully we can get the third overall pick, hell I wouldn't be suprised if we can get the second overall pick.

I am sorry to say this but with James in the net the loss is kind of inevitable. Not sure what this moves means. Gus earned his job, he is clearly better goalie. I do not like it and the Leafs are constantly messing with goalies, it was under Wilson and it has been under Carlyle too. This franchise is so bad.

While I agree that Gus has earned the job, these late stages are pretty much all about Carlyle seeing what he has in his team.  I'm sure this is part of a plan where Carlyle wants Reimer to prove whether he has the mettle to bounce back or not.  Maybe I'm overblowing it, but perhaps this game goes a long way in how Carlyle wants Burke to approach the goaltending situation for next season.

With that said, the Lightning are still playing for something while the Leafs look completely lost these days.  5-2 Lightning, and a Stamkos goal is all but assured I would reckon.

How much clout does Carlyle have in the final goaltending say?  I would assume he'd defer to the goalie coach who is supposedly the best in the NHL to determine whether Reimer has any game left.  It was probably Allaire telling Burke last season that Reimer was "the guy" to be the #1

I don't know why but I have a feeling the Leafs win this game...whether that's a good or bad thing is subjective.  But the Leafs have lit up Tampa a couple times this year simply because they couldn't hand their speed...granted, that was with Wilson and his run-and-gun system...

Keith Aulie gets 4 points tonight and absolutely levels someone on the Leafs.  It's been that kind of season over the last 17 games.

I'm watching the game. Win or lose.
They win plan the parade. It's amazing the talk when the Leafs lose vs when they win.
Such a pendulum swing.

Reimer/Gustavson matters not if you can't put the puck in the net.
Could be Brodeur it wouldn't matter if you can't score.

Edm still has a ways to catch up, but it's possible.

We are 1 point up on the disastrous Montreal.

Or Montreal is 1 point behind the disastrous Leafs.

They'd have to get things going in a hurry. 7 points in 12 games is a lot for them to make up, even with the Leafs sucking hard. 8 points, actually, as the Leafs hold the tie-breakers.
