We haven't really been winning games since Carlyle got here but I like the core of what he's doing. End of the season should be a interesting just getting the guys used to his system.

Btw, that's me trying to turn my frown upside down... :/

For sure.  They go hand in hand.

Anyhow, if Reimers completes the shutout,  :)  I presume he'll get an accolade in the MotM voting, and if so, it will be first one he's gotten in ...  months I would guess.

I'm telling James it's all your fault.

How in the name of holy hell does Phaneuf end up with the extra penalty there???

And of course they spoil the shut out. FFS!!

Wow. A glimpse of what Gardiner could end up being for this organization. On another note, I wonder what Kadri is thinking right about now with Ashton playing with the big team and him still with the Marlies.

I don't know what's going on with Kadri.  He wasn't scoring last time he was up, but he was laying some hits and playing end to end.  I thought he was playing OK.

My thought is that they didn't want to mess with the Marlie chemistry too much, since they're right in the midst of the playoff drive, and Ashton being new was a perfect fit as emergency call up.

Either that, or they hate Kadri and want to make him cry.  One of those.

Burke recently said Kadri still needs to become a better hockey player.

I think the Marlies playoff run has something to do with it too.

Eakins mentioned in a recent interview that he'd like to see Kadri be a bit more committed to his conditioning. I wouldn't read too much into that as the question was phrased as a pro / con of a few Marlies.

It's a tough read what management thinks. I think he might be given a harder time too because he's a bit cockier.
I know people are always skeptical when people say they know about a players bad habits (i.e drinking smoking drugs, blah blah blah) but my good friend goes to UWO in London and was there for Kadris years on the Knights and knew him, I know this to be true. Apparently, Kadri is a huge pothead. Not saying you can't smoke a bit and be an amazing hockey player but its not a great sign of committment.

I don't think that's something to repeat on an "apparently".

Fox sports commentator Chris Dingman is "furious" that no one came to the aid of the league's leading scorer against Phaneuf. He is pissed. Says that if he was playing he would go after Kessel or jump in on the Phaneuf thing even if it cost him a suspension.

American commentating is great!  :o

Great, they break the losing streak on the one night when I can't watch the game.  Not only did I miss seeing them win, but now I have to intentionally skip the rest of their games to preserve the luck. lol

Hey I come up with the craziest dekes and plays in NHL video games when I'm...in the groove.  Don't think it's so hot for the conditioning (lung function) though depending on how much you groove and how you do it...

Exactly what Bustaheims said.

Discussion of players personal lives is something we don't delve into on this site as many of it is unsubstantiated rumours. Obviously there is exceptions when it is backed up by proven sources (see Mike Danton, Theo Fleury, etc). But until we are bought out by TMZ we will remain against discussion of players private lives. Let's leave that to the more low brow sites.
