It was the cheesy boasting countdown on the scoreboard when we were briefly at the top of the league (before getting blasted 7-0 by Boston that very game).  Hockey gods were not pleased.

I'd really like to know what this has to do with ANYTHING about this game.

I remember running the numbers back then and it resulted in the Leafs needing to play .500 the rest of the way in order to get to 93 points...

...and we couldn't even do that, just crazy.

Any time a former Leaf has a good game against us, or a stretch of good play (of any length) for another team it is a slap in the face to the Leafs, obviously.

There's only so many ways you can express disgust with your team's play.  I guess staying away from the game day thread is one example.

The stretch of summer-like weather this past week also is not conducive to wanting to sit around watching bad hackey.
